Pubs in Burnley... can you help

I am putting together a magazine and I am trying to put a sort of music gig guide together. This will include pubs and clubs that play regular live music, bands, karaoke and rock music (classic or new).

I have made a list and would like to see if I can get some help off you guys as I have only lived in Burnley 5 years and have not been to many of the town centre pubs!

Basically, this is for free advertising for pubs so I am not after using people to make money! The gig guide is an extra in the magazine I am producing.

Also, if anyone can recommend local bands that would be great to as I would like to help out as much as possible.

The magazine is due out in about 6 weeks and will be distributed within the BB postcode free of charge.

Cheers, appreciate it. Been to a couple of pubs today in Burnley, Padiham and Colne but seems most dont open in the daytime!

Ive got The Talbot, The White Hart in Burnley. Ighten Leigh Social and Lane Ends in Padiham and Queens and Cornerhouse in Colne.

Not sure of to many others!

There`s the Alma Pub in Padiham, a small town pub, with a very large Widescreen TV, and a Pool table in a separate room, Karaoke most Saturday Nights with Blue Moon Karaoke.
Beer Garden across the road.

Thanks for the replies again. I never thought of the Alma and I used to live in Padiham DOH!

Well its to late for the first issue as its just gone into print but maybe for issue 2.

Just had word and we are 99% sure the magazine will be out for a planned launch of Thursday 26th June at Big D's Biker Pub in Todmorden. Should be loads of people there as its their bikers boot sale that day.

We have had an amazing response to the magazine and a lot of big names have jumped on board at the last minute!

Now for the pain task of waiting for the printing to be completed but I've still got a bit of work to do on the website so at least I wont be to bored!

Hope its OK to mention the website but admins please delete if you feel it breachs any T&C.

The website address is 100mph.org There is a list of places where the magazine will be available, where the next months gigs are and you can even add gigs and venues yourself.

Would like some feedback if any one has a spare few minutes to take a look.

Looks fabulous, congrats on a job well done.
As far as Karaoke goes I know that every Friday there is one at the Cattlemarket Pub in Burnley, across from the Police Station, and every Saturday, Big Chris puts on a TOP karaoke in the back room at Burnley League Club on Richard Street( formerly Irish League Club).

Well I doubt that the printing should take that long to do Jason ... after all you do have your own printing business dont you.

I seem to remember that a few people from your 125 web site actually ordered and paid for t-shirts from you, they paid their money and over a year later they are still waiting for their t-shirts.
