Gannow Top Roundabout

I notice the new signs on the roundabout this afternoon. 20 miles an hour on the Gannow exit on the roundabout also on the Padiham Road exit there's what appears to be a weather station which impressed me. I just want to be able to acces the data now :D . They've also done line painting. All we need now is to sort out the congestion getting onto the bloody thing at 8:30 in the morning. I think it's going to be the sign also of these new information boards like you see on the motorways with information on parking spaces as well.

(Any info on the weather station would be very much appreciated!!)

dont know anything about the weather station, but that roundabout is the bane of my life, I try to time all my journeys round the quieter times as I live just off Gannow Lane, bloody nightmare!

No matter what I do, there's no way I can avoid that roundabout. At least the lanes are clearer, hopefully people won't expect me to take the m65 westbound exit and try to ram me off the side of the road when they are in the wrong lane and I'm in the right lane for the town centre. At least the new barrier work has finished, the congestion was a lot worse a few weeks ago while they were doing that.

weather station? why would they put a weather station on a main road?

I don't know its got all the equipment on, weather vane, anenometer (wind speed), thermometer, humidity, radiation sensor. All on a brand new thickish silver pole. You can't miss it, its on the grass verge as you turn onto Padiham Road.

I cant avoid gannow roundabout either when im goin to work and i also try to time it so i dont hit the traffic.it seems easier to get out of gannow lane than padiham road in the mornings though.its always been a nightmare.

I used to work at motorpoint and finishing at 5pm was a nightmare to get out of gannow lane,and lowerhouse lane is not much better!
