| I can't see the logic in it really, except for maybe a parent with a son and daughter. When they say mixed I presume it's not like the old Thompson centre where you got changed in one big room as opposed to cublcles?

| Its one room with cubicles, with some family cubicles. This is what is in place at St Peters Centre where there have been a couple of instances of pervs sliding their phones under the doors/walls and filming females changing. |

| I'm sure I read in the paper the other day that they are going to revert the changing rooms at St Peters back to single sex. I would think recent events will make Padiham go the same way. |

| I would say that mixed changing rooms are a no no from my point of view, its the same argument as mixed wards in hospitals. Some people may be okay with it but I would think that th majority would be against

| There are issues with single sex changing too, remember, perverts don't just go after the opposite sex. The open style single sex changing rooms are a perverts dream come true. I've been used to mixed sex cubicle areas since I was a kid. The old victorian baths I went to used to have cubicles all around the pool, and then in the late 70's, a brand new leisure centre, with slides etc opened, and again, it was mixed sex, cubicle based areas. I think the issue really is leaving open space at the bottom and top. The bottom is solved by having cubicle walls that touch the floor, and the top is solved by having ceilings on. From what I read, certain areas of St. Peters changing area will be set aside for single sex use only, and others for mixed - I think that's a decent compromise. |

| Not in favour of mixed changing rooms either. But as i was reading the posts i realised that Waves in Blackburn is mixed, and i do go there from time to time. Have just never given it a thought whilst there. |

There may have been issues at Blackburn, but unless you read the Blackburn articles in the Telegraph closely, you might not have noticed before. This time, it's closer to home, so has more impact. |
