Fatal stabbing in Burnley park
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following an assault in a park in Burnley.The incident happened at around 1:30pm in Thompson Park...

This killing made national news today. It was on every news bulletin throughout the day on BBC Radio 2. I am surprised there was not more to be seen here.

i hope there is no repercussions.as this was a repercussion from an incident 1 year ago and now its left 7 childern with out a father.hopefully it will stop there.

It said on the radio that the guy called the police shortly before he was stabbed and now the police complaints board are involved. I wouldn't be suprised if they were too busy to attend the call.

Apparently, 50 people were watching, all Muslims/Asians and not one helped. Seems to me this guy and his family were not flavour of the month. All arrested were Asians.

I felt very saddened by this incident, that a man died, protecting his son, in this way. My condolences to his family and to the whole of the Burnley community, who I am sure are feeling the effects.
Also, though lots of people won't agree, to the Police .. they must be feeling low that they didn't do enough to prevent this killing.
