Anyone feel the earthquake here in Burnley at all?

People in Newcastle, Yorkshire, London, Manchester, the Midlands and Norfolk felt the tremor just before 0100 GMT.

An elderly man suffered leg injuries when a chimney collapsed in Wombwell in South Yorkshire, emergency crews said.

The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the earthquake was of the magnitude of 5.3 and the epicentre was near Market Rasen in Lincolnshire.

Bev Finnegan, who lives in Market Rasen, said: "I was terrified to be honest. The noise was really, really terrifying... it was so deep and rumbling.

"It felt like the roof was going to fall in. There were people coming out in their dressing gowns wondering what it was. It was quite an experience."

I felt it here in Cleveleys,,,I was just shuting down the computer when there was shaking,,but "NO" noise .The lamp started moving on its own, I rang my family in Burnley straight after ,but they haddent ,,
But then both my hubby and son over here were snoring like piggies,and missed it ,,,,,,,,,Anyway i was glad i wasent cracking up when it was on breaking news

I did in Hull thought a train was coming through the house,it was that strong it shook my house from top to bottom everything including me was shaking...frightened me to death.

It woke me here in Accy but I wasn't really sure what it was and hubby was still snoring away. I couldn't see anything amiss so went back to sleep again. Next morning I noticed my wardrobe doors were open which seemed a bit odd..
