this really doesnt surprise me with burnley i so believe they helped my mum to die the way she did not all their fault completely but they gave her addictive drugs for years (30) then after a while realised she was addicted and started taking them from her replacing them with other addictive drugs basically she was in and out of that place and also ended up in the psychiactric unit a number of times due to the addiction. she died in 2001 after she drank herself silly when the doctors decided to mess with her pills and when she didnt have them she drank. unfortunatly her body couldnt take it and gave up but im so annoyed noone apologised or accepted their part in it.she was also supposedly being looked after by social services a social worker used to go and buy the damn beer for her its a sham in the health service in burnley a complete sham.

sorry to hear about your mum t,b, things like that take years to get over ,maybe i am a little senitive today ,,its the anniversary of my mums death today and although its 24years since she died ,there was nobody there and i always feel guilty because the phone rang that morning and i never answered it ,maybe it was her ,i,ll never know .

tell me about it gc my mum was dead 3 days before she was found i was the last person to speak to her and she was begging me to get my nan (her mum) to go down and see her as she needed her and my nan said no. cause i live in oldham and she was in nelson i couldnt get over to see her til the day after even though my mums family had cars and could of come and got me they didnt.anyhow before i go off topic again lol i hold burnley health authority responsible mainly as they let her die in my eyes.

I've had good service from the hospital at Blackpool,but a friend of mines Dad who went in at the age of 62yrs for chest pains was told he was terminal by a Doctor who told him in a very cold manner with no members of his family around,would he have told his Dad the samething in the same way? Some people that work in the hospitals get very hard hearted and callous

ive had 2 kids at burnley hospital and i can honestly say never again.with my first id had him and they nearly botched it he was stuck but they left me pushing for 3 hrs when apparently they only are supposed to let you push and hour.and to add to that when i finally had they never cleaned me up i was sat in mess for 3 hrs then they wondered why i caught an injection.lol then they stitched me up wrong and a year after i had him i had to go back and have it all re stitched. with my second child they knew she was feet first all the way through pregnancy and told me she would turn even though she didnt they let me go into labour knowing she was feet first then after id gone through all that labour they decied after 3 hours they were going to give me a section.after she was born i never got to hold her for 1hr and half which really messed with the bonding.

hence why i had my 3rd child in oldham which is an amazing hospital i think

when i had nathan at 33weeks i was also in a bit of a state.
They let me hold him for an hour before taking him to scbu and then i was left in delivery til 11pm that evening (nathan was born at 12.20pm) unable to move due to some sort of shock or something at an early delivery.
Anyway, i finally went to the ward after they gave me a relaxant so i could move.
Got a bit gruesome after that as i started losing enormous clots!! BUT...THATS NOT my complaint. My complaint is that i didnt see nathan again until after lunch the next day because nobody would take me because they said they were too busy. That may seem not a big deal to some people but it was horrible!!
I actually think thats partly what lead to me suffering post natal depression a few months later and also why im reluctant to let him out of my sight.

i so sympathise with you there hun it was horrible when they took summer from me for ages and with having a section aswel i found it extremely hard to bond with her its still a little strained now. damned hospital

For the births of my 3 I didn't find it too bad, was quite comfortable & I got to go home early.
Got told off for standing in front of the fan though :D :D

Well if he paid to watch the action Matty you should'nt block his view! :yelrotflm

I had my twin daughters at BGH and the staff there were fantastic. The only complaint I had was the level of cleanliness. It's a a disgrace.

My partner went to burnley general with severe dental pain as she is awaiting an appointment anyway to cut a long story short guess what was prescribed :-

Tramadol I will ask my partner to post the exact details of what went on but she wasnt happy one little bit the staff were ignorant, off hand when they did speak, and when she asked the doctor who was being funny with her his name he walked off and didnt give it she is after complaining aswell so if you need any information that helps you in anyway get in touch but as I say I will get her to put down exactly what went on tomorrow as she is at work at the minute.

Saw on a newspaper stand outside the Total garage today a headline reading 'Burnley Hospital takes action against a website'.

Something to do with this perhaps?
