Yes I agree with you they should be allowed to use the hose on them. It wouldn't really hurt them and would defend the firemen.

Perhaps educating them by taking them out and showing them what happens when they are called to a fire might have more effect than punishing them as nothing seems to work. I've seen posters saying that hoax calls cost lives but that doesn't get through does it.

Just because a victim and a villain are different colours doesn't mean an attack is racially motivated. Is there evidence that they attacked the firemen because they were white? Yobs are yobs whatever race or colour they are.

i dont cry wolf....and i dont label all kids yobs....
i cant vouch for the ones in blackburn but i do know for a fact that there was a lot of racist remarks directed at our local heroes in burnley.

In that case it's even more appalling. All cases of racism should be dealt with equally whoever is on the receiving end. I don't suppose they'd object to the race of the fire fighters if it was their own family in danger.

When you've lost friends in a house fire as a lot of people have I doubt they gave a thought to what race the firemen were who risked their own lives trying to save them.

yup thats it exactly...i dont understand why people see such a difference when it comes to colour.......we are all the same!!! we all bleed when we are cut..we bruise when we are hit and we all cry when we are sad. im very disheartened at how many people in this world behave.

It's incredibly sad. I wish people could see that we are all the same, that we are human beings and not look for differences. It would be a boring old world if we didn't have different races, nationalities, cultures etc. Just look at how much we'd miss.

If these idiots planned this just because the firemen are a different race what on earth goes on in their heads? If they were in danger would they refuse help from someone of a different race? I know I wouldn't.
