A 15 year old lad from Nelson turned up for his work experiance at a travel agents in town today, and was turned away for being unable to speak Punjab. He had turned up for work only to be told the agency were expecting an Asian boy. Bloody hell whats going on, if I had sent any of my work experiance girls home because I wanted only English speaking people I would have no doubt been in court faster than you could say "salama lakum"

This country has its head up its arthur so far cave rescue gave up. It is now beyond a joke and those in power are not helping at all. Dare not bend over in case I find a broom handle were it shouldnt be.

Let em try it up here! There have been several court cases were being rasist to an Englishman has been dealt with along with football ones as well. Haul em in front of the beak and set an example of whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

Strange not so much hear of it here as it should be, ALL employees/people should follow same rules & the gov are worst for it cos these kind of things that increases racism & divide:(

When Trevor McDonald called Bernard Manning "a fat white racist ba****d", although it is true his show was very racist, Sir Trev was found to have caused no offence. I dont see the difference?

Crazy! as the fact that free driving lessons were offered locally for Asians only?

They wanted a Punjabi speaking pupil on work experience placement because 99% of their customers speak Punjabi. If the lad had been white, black or polka dot and fluent in Punjabi he would have been OK. It isn't racist to have certain requirements. It's like a secretary being required to know shorthand because they need to be able to make notes as they are dictated.

Of course it is racism, the boy was told they were expecting an asian boy. These people live in this country, they should be able to speak ENGLISH. This is what is wrong with our soceity we pander to other peoples wishes far to much IMO:uhoh:

We are that soft yellow down the backbone and lily livered that we aint got a set to stand up for ourselves. If we become anymore complacent the hand that we feed them with will be torn off.
