I'm not aware of any money having been thrown at him so I'd be interested to know if you have any actual details.

Tony introduced a lot of new music to people who would not otherwise have heard it. I have him to blame for me being an Elvis Costello fan.

IMO he did a lot for the North West and will be sadly missed by many.

i didnt really know him but my boyfriend was a huge fan of the happy mondays, and the way that tony was treated or erm lack of when he had cancer is disgraceful!
Was it too much to ask for a little bit of help to pay for drugs that wouldve eased his pain and maybe given him a few more years to live. He didnt just sit there and watch everybody else live their lives...at least he got off his butt and made things happen. Where would manchester be without him???
