Question What's there for young people to do?

Is there anything to do or see for young people in the area? If your a young cool Dude what do you get up to in your spare time? Is the place dead borin?
Please tell us what you think as you've got opinions and you can't all be "Nutters" and anyone got any ideas to keep them out of mischief?
If it's still going we used to run a PHAB club down at Temple street for young people to meet up, and it was open to disabled and the able-bodied,we would have trips out and stuff. So go on you tell me!

For anyone that is interested there are:
Beaver Scouts for boys & girls aged 6-8, Monday 5:45-6:30
Cub Scouts for boys & girls aged 8-10.5 Thursday 6:45-7:55
Scouts for boys & girls aged 10.5-14(ish) Thursday 8:00-9:30 (ish)
Explorer Scouts for them whats too big for Scouts - when do you want to meet?

I can supply contact details on request.
All faiths, sexes etc catered for, religion is not pushed down throats here.

Then there are Rainbows, Brownies & girl guides (I can get details of these if someone wishes).

Else,
There is a drop in centre in the church basement opposite Blockbusters in the centre.
There is a free skateboard park in Queens park (opposite the fire station).
There is Intrapark skateboard park (very big bowls etc) but costs quite a lot,

The Canal offers some very good fishing, however there are stretches to stay away from for fear of assault. See "Macks" tackle shop, Parliament st for further details on more.

We have plenty of fields to trespass on to fly a kite (bring your own wet gear & boots) cow kicking over is not appreciated thankyou.

The central library is still there if you fancy a read, however more than a few kids & you'll likely get kicked out.

AFAIKR there is a youth club that meets at the kiddrow lane community centre on Thursdays (check there for details).

It think that's it.

Oh, and there are snowball fights once or twice a year.

But kids get banned from doing it at school & in trouble if the throw a snowball at an old codger or if it accidentally hits someones car/fence/garden etc.

See, how many of you said that there was something for them to do but cannot answer this thread?

I already made some suggestions in the other thread, and I thought it would look a bit suspect to consider myself a 'cool dude' :yelrotflm

I have always been very interested in spiritualism kiki, it's a pity we don't have a church here in accy i would like to learn more about it.I'm quite sure there is a lot more to life than what we know about. As for gardening you can keep that to yourself i can't stand creepy crawlies of any sort, i once cut a worm in half by mistake and very nearly threw up.Never again. lol
