my sister went home early from work yesterday to find she was being burgled, she called the police as she thought they were still in the house, they turned up about an hour later, by which time a neighbour and various relatives were with her, she was told off as she had probably destroyed evidence! Anyway word of caution they had got in by completely removing a pvc panel in the back door. As they were disturbed all they got away with were 400 fags, one pack was spanish and the other from thailand, and for some reason they had also taken a pair of pink fleecy pyjama bottoms, so if you see any young thugs smoking foriegn fags wearing pink jim- jams give us a shout!

Sorry about your sister,my Mum and Dad got robbed a couple of times Ollie,the people that do this are scum and the police do their best, but if and when they get caught, they know they will just get a slap on the wrist by the courts,people that get their house broken into are often left scared mentaly for life!

the trouble with ringing the police ollie on 999 is you get a call centre in Milton Keynes . I say bring back the local bobby not community wardens they are just excuses for the goverment.At least a local bobby knows the area and more than likely the culprit ,because 9 out of 10 thefts are commited by some mindless moron who actually lives in the area. :stop: other than that i hope she is all right and has a security device fitted keep well wayne

We are supposed to have community wardens our area I have seen them once since christmas. I think they must just sit at home watching eastenders witha brew. and don't get me started on the police - ABSOLUTELY USELESS

It's not always the fault of the beat bobbies etc.

For instance, when I was in Cog lane, the beat bobbyhad to come from Padiham stn & he was not allowed a car, just a bus pass. :(
