Default House in Burnley currently on Homes Under the Hammer

I love watching this program and I'm wondering how much this end of terrace house is going to sell for.

It's more fun when it's somewhere familiar.

Very shrewd purchasers and very sensible renovation done - love the bathroom they put in and it only cost £149!!!! :scared:

They bought the house for about £30,000 and spent about £7,000 on it and doubled it's value - even then £60,000 is quite cheap so it could be worth more than that by now. Don't know how old the program was.

I love Homes Under The Hammer and that other one where they go househunting and offer them a choice of 3. I would have had the third one today. It was gorgeous in the kitchen department, but they settled for the first one cos it had a garage.

There,s been a couple of houses on Under the Hammer before this one,the first one I saw was a couple of years ago that one was up Piccadilly Rd,used to be a chippy,a chap from Manchester bought it to do up and sell on,he was coming over off and on to work on it and it was vandalised a couple of times,I think he did,nt finish it and ended up selling it on.The second one was a few weeks ago and this was bought by a local property developer, this house was on Accrington Rd.and he did a good job of it and I think he made a good profit.

Oh darn it I've forgotten the name of the street. It began with a P. It was an end terrace house and the opposite side of the street had been non residential but had all been demolished and new houses planned to be built there.

I,m wondering if the programme was a repeat of the one I saw,I can,t remember them saying anything about the opposite side of the street or new housing being planned,I usually watch the programme but I missed it.
