Default Does Lancashire have a lake monster?

Quote:
Forget Loch Ness...Lancashire may have its own lake monster lurking in the deep.

Claims of a larger-than-life creature living in the 17-acre RSPB Martin Mere near Southport have been circulating for five years.

Several reports from the public suggested that a blood-thirsty monster was circling beneath the still water, ready to pounce on unsuspecting wildlife.

A team from the Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) conducted some investigations and decided the mystery beast was 8ft long and 24st in weight.

So Southport has a possible monster lurking in the deep? Would love to see some photo's of that!

Nah, that would have to be Morecambe Bay. I don't think there are any cockles in Martin Mere.

Someones let loose with a baby crocodile that grew too big for the tank and chucked it in the lake and now years later after feeding on fish, birds that land ...........

I watched a film in my younger years that scared the living daylights out of me that a baby alligator was flushed down the loo and it lived in the sewers and then there was an accident at a chemical works and this stuff got washed down the sewers and the alligator drank some of it and it grew and grew and grew . then turned into man eating alligator........ the film ended with someone flushing another croc/alligator down the loo.........

I got an over active imagination shoot me!!!
