Burnley Super School ready in September

THE construction of a "super school" is ahead of schedule and it is due to open by September 2008, it has been revealed.

Gawthorpe High School has now been demolished, and the foundations for the new 1,050 place Shuttleworth College, Burnley Road, Padiham, are being put in place by Bovis Construction.

How many are there to be in total, i'm sure it said on the news 12 - 17 or something of these new schools.

I think a lot of schools did need to be updated, most were old and falling to bits and the safety of children and their education is the most important thing.

1st phase is 8 new schools from memory. Seem to recall all secondary schools in England will be rebuilt by 2020. Well at least thats the theory lol
