"sick note city" news headline

after just reading the sunday people and reading an article on people who claim ...the incapacity benefit...and are unfit to work i noticed that in the top 30 .....BURNLEY came in at No 25 with a total percentage of 12.4% of people claiming incapacity.......and i bet that 10% of those COULD actualy work if they wanted but NO they prefer to abuse the sytem and scrounge tens of thousands of pounds a year off legitimate tax payers who earn a living .....IT MAKES ME SICK.... :cursing:

I do'nt want to get to deep on this all I'll say is that if a doctor say's your unfit to work then your unfit nothing to do with me,All people who are fit and able to work should do,the wealthfare state is not endless but I'm proud that we have it in this country.

I notice that all the districts are from the midlands ...north. Maybe after all these years, they are saying we kept the rich b...ds in the south in wealth,now they can keep us!:icon_hump

I don't have a problem with legitimate claims, but just because you might not be able to do your present job because of injury doesn't mean you can't retrain to do something else. I once met an amazing blind chap who learned to showjump - amongst other things, another blind chap who did data entry at an insurance company.
What I hate to see is some fat, lazy oaf sat on their **** getting their lifestyle funded by hard-working people who are probably worse off than the deadbeats their taxes are paying for.
It seems that the working class are being taken for a ride, work till your 70, (it's coming), pay into the system all your life, don't get ill because the drugs might be too expensive and drop dead before you start drawing any kind of pension.

In a word no - it's still good money after bad.
If genuine asylum seekers were allowed to work they could be paying into the system, rather than undermining the jobs market by having to work cash in hand.
