I usually go down town on Saturday morning with the little lad, go to the cafe, bit of shopping for an hour or so.

parking up on centenary way car park i was taken back to see that the new parking rate was £3 per visit.

is this the same at all burnleys car parks?

if so then i'm afraid town centre shopping has lost a customer.

I always go on TK Maxx car park, I think you get 2 hours free. Other end of town I go on Halfords car park.

How long is the £3 for? A couple of hours?

It says "per visit", so i take that as 10 mins or 10 hours,

That doesn't sound right, you do right in parking elsewhere then I think.

From memory they have the set rate for Saturday only. I think the idea is to get the long stay shoppers out of the actual town centre car parks.Pretty sure the Market carpark or (whatever it's fancy millenium name is) still has varying charges on Saturday's.

If you are only there for less than 2 hours nip in to Tescos and buy a pint of milk, parking is free :pfeif:
