That's very nice, not sure if Burnley has anthing like that on display. I've not seen anything anway. Would be nice to keep this thread with some good photo's of the celebrations in Lancashire.

I am only just over the border, our post code is Lancs.
Trying to persuade the powers that be to put on a bit of a do. The scouts, guides and brownies have a parade, but I thought a mummers play of George slaying the dragon, a band and a bit of a dance in the market would be fun. :England: :England::England:

Down South it passes almost un-noticed. Sad, very sad.

hooray for St. George.....!
But I thought being patriotic about being English was taboo and frowned upon by the powers that be now-a-days!?
I'll fly my red cross with pride though!

Todmorden is full of anarchists, we do as we please, we celebrate all who live here even us English. The lady in our post office just saw off robbers with machetes a couple of weeks ago, a couple of PC idiots would be no trouble to her,:nothear:

I have probably spelled it wrong, they had those big knives like they use to hack through the jungle in the films, you know the sort of thing they had them in raiders of the lost ark and such
