hi does anyone remember jack moores monkey ? if i recall it used to be on the canal bank on the way to burnley from brierfield (in the 1960s):hippie: dont remember any monkey but there were a few boat swings and a myna bird and sweet stalls :crazy: regards lorna

Every one used to go there at easter i think it was good friday.

Yes, I remember that place. It was at the bottom of Green Head Lane on the way to Fence. It was a Good Friday treat to go there as a child.

There was a monkey in a cage when I were a lad, I remember the swing boats and the myna bird as well
