| That's not bad stats for being a day old.... I like the tree, think it should be called a tornado or something though and possibly a little bigger. A lot of people on accy web are saying they don't like it (Some are just people who moan at everything), but then most haven't been up to it. Walking down the paths listening to the tune and with the scenery in the background is fantastic. It's set a good distance to so you have to walk to it listening to the tune. It fits in well with the area, well done whoever had the idea. All it needs now are some benches and a resting area nearby, but not right next to it. I'd also fit a CCTV camera up there too as I know someone will ruin it will vandalism and litter.

| Aye, I thought that when I uploaded two and thought, why not stick my site on the video and make it into one. So I did, looks better and works well I think.

| ffs Madhatter does every thread have to turn in to either a dig at Accyweb or a statment about how great you are. Why don't you stay in the comfort of your midlands habitiat and leave the North West alone. You clearly have no interest or connection with the place apart from your ego |
| ||||
| Yet again, where is the dig at accyweb? I merely stated that accyweb was were I posted the idea, as accyweb was used as a place to help stop the hyndburn one going ahead I can think of no better place to post a thread to try to get one there. I am not great , nowhere have I ever said I'm great, I did say the suggestion was a good one and is a an example of what could be achieved if the community was invited to participate in a brain storming session and submit what they come up with. No where do I dum down the north west, I only criticise or praise individual projects. I recognise now, you were the one that accused me of criticising the new christmas lights on accyweb same as you did here, both wrong, pointing out the price of projects does not mean I'm saying they shouldnt go ahead or aren't worth doing, it means the people who moan, as I have done about the benches, should appriciate the cost of what has been done. The only time I'll criticise is if money has been wasted. I see no waste of money. As for the childish dig about the midlands, your wrong, I travel the country from aberdeen to plymouth and ramsgate, I have to look at these art works and christmas lights for that matter on my travels, the North West is not exclusively for the North West, these panopticans are intended to bring in visitors. Change your attitudes and you just may get them, because the above slating of anyone not from the area giving input certainly won't encourage. |

| I actually heard they had a troll but then they misplaced it :-) It moved to Atherstone Dave Yet again, where is the dig at accyweb? I merely stated that accyweb was were I posted the idea, as accyweb was used as a place to help stop the hyndburn one going ahead I can think of no better place to post a thread to try to get one there. A lot but not all Accy people are obsessed with blocking the panoptican and will moan about all neighbouring ones, I made some good suggestions on accyweb about it, some good, not so radical designs, building local elements in to it, a ring of 6 monolythic stones like stone henge with carvings of local places and accorns in each one, lit up at night and benches in a circle at the centre. 6 radial nori brick paths coming out to represent time, each with a line of blue led path lights down the centre, one going to the renovated shelter up there. Thats just one idea, the list is endless and if they communicated, the people that do actually want something would get it. Get a group together and override the twonks that are blocking it for blocking sake. Theres the dig hatter

| Get them... visitors, tourists. The dig and trolling posts are in your minds, it's an opinion on burnleys panoptican and crticism aim at people who blocked hyndburns, some of which used accyweb to do so. All I see is two people having digs at me for posting constructively. You're posts have no content to back up your accusations and no comments even remotely connected to this thread which is Burnleys Panoptican, Singing ringing tree. |

| I suppose so dave, but the fact that hyndburn hasn't got one has got something to do with, because they are supposed to be a set, one in each area, A bit like the irwell valley sculpture trail, it's like taking bocalt tree and throwing it in the dustbin., it would leave a hole in the trail. I feel quite strongly about it, that they should have one because I feel it would benefit the town and as this tree will benefit burnley, it gives the town something that they feel belongs to them, it's their tree. I can't help feeling that a few people have have convinced a lot of people because they didn't like THAT design. Question Would you like to see hyndburn get a panoptican to complete the set? |

Personally doesn't bother me if Hynburn have one of not. I'm also not convinced that it gives the town something that belongs to them, at the end of the day it's a piece of art ( in some peoples eyes ). It isn't some great theme park or major tourist attraction that people will come from all over the world to visit. I think if you went round most towns outside the area and asked people what is Burnley famous for 90% would say the football team and the other 10% would say 'where ??'. Ask them again in 10 years time and the answer would still be the same, there will be no tree mentioned. Quote:
