Funny that cos it was you and rindy that mentioned it last i think. I was mentioned in the christmas lights thread also but don't know who by, some sort of attack making out I was being tight, the other the usual on there about whats it got to do with me, I don't live there, bla bla. petty stuff as I expected to find and not very accurate either.

i agree the blue icicle lights did look nice.best lights burnleys gt anyway.however have you noticed blackburn and accringtom and everywhere else get someone famous to turn the lights on and burnley just get bertie bee father christmas and burnleys manager no fence to them though.even if it was a burnley player maybe.i also think burnley to do something coz alot of eople at christmas want to do a lot of shopping at the same time but burnley hasn`t really got that many decent shops its a good place though to just pop down to if u need essential things. hope nobody has taken offence

These 'famous people' viki usually want paying for the privilege of switching the lights on or performing any other public or private function, so the money was better used on the display. I can't comment on the shops as the wife does it.:focus2:

Quite right... these so called famous people want a fortune.... For instance, Jim Bowen would cost £3000 to come along, say a few words and then begger off again... Burnleys firework display came in at half that cost..... I know which one I would prefer!
