| According to the papers, Police are showing a presence at the new Super Schools due to traffic problems. Burnley Web's RSS feed on it can be viewed by Clicking Here. However, talking to relatives and other people who go or live near these Super Schools, such as the merge of Habergham High and Ivy Bank, the Police presense is because of fighting between youths. Anyone else have any more information on this?

Councillor Sharon Wilkinson has published a video on the internet about the appalling attitude of the authorities to parent's complaints at Hambledon College which can be found here.

bump.... sorry wasnt here when this was started. im sick to f*****g death of the insolent little morons who go to shuttleworth that hang around the bus station of a moring. im sick of little 12 year olds coming up to me asking if i will go into the shop for them. im sick of them hanging round in gangs of about 40, and trying to look intimidating. im sick of them trying to wind a lad that goes to my 6th form up, to provoke him, then chase him half way across town with about 20 odd other scrotes. its just not working with these super schools. the council has made a royal balls up. why would they just not listen. another thing, school busses? none existant. on the bus that i catch in a morning, its full of people going to blessed trinity, and when i say full, i mean full. its like a troop ship. and do any of these kids have manners? no. they wont get up and give their seat up to someone elderly or someone who needs it more. they just sit there with their crappy music blaring out of their phones shouting the odds at each other. im mightily annoyed at this.

Its rotten you have to suffer this on the bus J! and put up with the gangs of kids too! I think a lot of teachers need better back up head teachers that are directly involved .More real old fashioned heads than management people, good examples must be set at school as sadly they arent at some homes!I work in school and see this happening!

There has been a lot of talk about this around Burnley. I have recently turned 16 and left what used to be Ivy Bank. Im currently studying at Burnley college. The schools have been appalling since I was in year 8. The new year 7 students each year became cockier and started more trouble where as when I was in year 7 if we talked to a year 11 the wrong way we would get a smack. The fact is the children get away with everything. They were smoking, fighting, having sex, swearing, stealing and they had no respect for the teachers or lunch staff. The school was abismal. When the super school plans were announced all the teachers left because they wernt promised a new job at what is now hambledon high school. They had to re-apply for their own jobs which is again out of order. When the teachers began to leave when I was in year 10, my education was ruined because they didnt hand in my coursework or even bothered to teach us, it was a case of putting a sheet in front of us then going for a brew. These people ruined my education because there was only one GCSE I was able to succeed in and it wasnt the one I wanted. I was promised a B grade in history and left with an F because none of my coursework was handed in and they didnt let us know anything about the 2 exams. We knew the people wouldnt adapt and make friends because of their behaviour and getting away with every bad thing they did. I was bullied through year 4 to year 11 and untill I left that school, and all 3 head teachers which were, Mr Ball, Mr Parkinson and Mrs Broom all said that they would have something done about the issue and that it would stop and nothing happened. I retaliated once in year 9 and I was blamed for it after being provoked for three years. All our youths care about it who is the hardest or who is the toughest. The teenage girls manipulate the boys with bribes and the boys will do it. Ive have been there myself and have had regular trips to Burnley General A & E. My brother has the same problem I did. He is in year 9 at hambledon high school and they are all taking advantage of him because he is mentally challeneged. He does not provoke anyone he just keeps his head down and says hello to those who talk to him and he gets bullied for it. The asians are just as bad, they threaten him with knives for no reason. They use the excuse that he racially abuses them but he cant because he doesnt understand, he is not a bully. I dont like seeing this happen to my family because it is bad enough the school government let it happen to me for the best part of my life. The government need to stop worrying about foreign affairs and bother about the immagrancy issues and our people instead of others. Allowing people to come into our country and work for less than they have to pay so we lose our jobs. Im not a racist but I have a point. I have no problems with packistani's, bangladeshi's, idians or turkish but if you are walking around in an area like stoneiholme they have a problem with you for no reason, just for showing your face. If something gets vandalised where I live like the bus station, they do nothing, where as in an area like stoniholme it is fixed within a week. They make us racist. If the government could see what I know they would be ashemed. The majority of teenagers who were in my year are now taking drugs, fighting fo no reason, drinking after dark, having underage sex and starting fights to intimidate people to raise their popularity. My point is, where as some may find it funny its not because it peoples sons and daughters.

My point exactly, teaching respect and discipline will go far. If not they should bring back national service.

Its a real worry that things have changed that much , children are not allowed to be children anymore. Its a different world , older people are not giving time like they used to. Its difficult for teachers who do wonders but disruptive kids are stopping children who want to get on, Teachers are childminding not teaching to their ability. School visit by royalty are tartered up they dont see what they are really like !Parents let their kidswatch too much rubbish ,feed them rubbishand they are on coputers too much. They cant bring caning back as things have changed too much!
