Faith People - Burnley and Pendle

Hello

I am working in the faith community and would like help with the follwing project:

Any individual who is willing to provide a pictorial tour of their local building of worship. Each picture should have a brief description attached with it. The place of worship must be in Burnley or Pendle.

If you would like to take part, please send me the photos and a small introduction about youself.

What is the Faith Community you talk about? People need more information before they will get involved in anything.

am not suspicious, but i feel that more war, poverty and general all-round strife is caused by world-wide religion than anything else.
I am happy for anyone who finds sollace and comfort in religion, but.....

Am working for 'Free Your Mind' organisation and the 'Pendle Muslim Archive'. Both have websites which are active. Both are voluntary groups set up by muslim graduates in Pendle. The aim is to put information about other faiths on our site.

So if anyone is interested pm me :)

I'm going to try to contact someone who may want to contribute. It would be nice if other religions got involved so that it doesn't end up being all one-sided.

Unfortunately I don't live in the area and my place of worship is in Blackburn or I would.

Yes, but he popped up last night and has a website up and running with a faith bit on it and the site looks good so it's still valid. It would be nice to incorporate some other faiths into it.

Anyway I've asked her and will report back if there's anything she can suggest.

First let me say I think what you are trying to do needs to be commended, the more understanding between faiths the better.
Having said that I have to say that I am pretty much pagan and my nearest place of worship if I had one would be the top of Pendle Hill.
I am not being facetious Rashid. I find my solace in open spaces where I can commune with nature, and yes before anyone asks I do hug trees.
I don't hold with organized religion I think it divisive and brings about more war and hatred than brotherly love. But you may help with what you are doing.

Although I am Christian (LDS) I have a lot in common with and a lot of respect for pagans in particular the attitude towards nature and respect for all forms of life.

I love being in wild places.
