My fella loves the Ghost whisperer, have got him watching Afterlife now though, and me thinks he's prefering that to Ghost Whisperer, but dont think he'll admit it, he always says he doesn't like the same programmes as me, 'cos they're pants!!!

I may be wrong, but I don't think we should be so quick to judge Gillian's idea of what comes after this life. I, too, have heard that we go to a place called Summerland, if we are ready for it. I have also heard that if our death is a sudden, or traumatic one, sometimes we are not aware of anything on the other side, but are cared for until we are able to accept the fact that we have moved on - we are sort of in a hospital-type place until we are ready to progress further on our journey in this different world of God.

Really, none of us know for sure what kind of life comes after this one, and I think we should all respect the thoughts of others on this matter. I have also heard that what you are expecting on the other side, is what you get.

In addition I have also heard that our learning continues and we do, indeed, learn how to help those on this earth plane if asked. This is the way we are supposed to progress spiritually - good works, which bring us closer to the Source, or God, or whatever your name for the Creator is.

Hope I haven't offended anyone, but this is such an interesting topic I think it is good to have various interpretations of what folks are expecting for the next phase of our lives.

When I was a baby, people used to stop my Mum in the street with my pram. They would look in and nearly always say, "she's been here before". I don't see the point of this life if there is nothing afterwards. I am convinced it's a testing ground. You gain or lose points, these are totted up and you are rewarded or punished. I will lay somewhere between I think.
