Burnley Music!

Just a question really! Anybody know a really good web site that pinponts all music events in Burnley and local surrounding areas? I have tried Google and get the usual general stuff! It would just be nice to visit one site,one page that summarises month by month Music events in the area be they pop,rock.indie,folk,classical-indeed all Musical genres? Please help

have tried to put events at my fave nightspot the circ on different sites burnley today and that but you have to pay on most of them have you tried 2br? By the way tried to get on you new site but couldnt

I must say, this idea of a Burnley area gig guide is a bloody good idea. Let's face it, Burnley has so much musical stuff happening, it's long overdue. But it'll need advertising at first in order to get people to post events, until it becomes well known. I'll start telling my mates to advertise here and I'll have a natter with a couple of contacts I have about some free advertising! ;)

Have no objection to you talking about your music etc, but you had better check with Neal before telling your mates to advertise on the forum.One of the forum rules is no adverts without the permission of Admin and I would be placed in the position of having to delete them as a moderator.

Huh?
But you have an entire section called "Nightlife & Events" that's dedicated to what's on in the Burnley area, and I myself have advertised the M3 gig at the Mechanics there. Are you going to delete the entire section?

As with all the different forums on Burnley Web, Nightlife and Events was intended for members to tell others about what was going on in the Burnley/Pendle area and discuss the merits of places they had visited and events they had attended. You mentioned encouraging mates to advertise on here and that could have meant places outside the area. If anyone profits from an event they advertise on this forum, they are a business and need the permission of Admin as I stated before. I would suggest you contact Neal and clear this matter up rather than take issue on the open forum.

I've just read the reply that I got from the PM that I sent to Neal this morning. He says that I am more than welcome to mention events organised by my group as it benefits the community and gives other users something to talk about. He also told me to feel free to pass the url to other groups I feel may benefit from a little advertising on Burnley Web.

I wasn't taking issue, I was just pointing out how silly it is to have a section dedicated to nightlife and events where nobody can actually talk about events that are coming up because it's against the rules.
