The Police

A couple of weeks ago a cple of young kids (7/8yrs) were innocently kicking a football outside there house,a neigbour called the police.Within 4 minuits a riot van appeared.Today one of the young kids house was smashed up,there father stabbed all by the same neighbour.5 residents called the police about the incident,it took the police25mins to respond.There were 3 terrified children in the house,hearing this neigbour threatening to kill them.
Has Burnley police got there priorities wrong again?.

na sp, thats normal, even happens here in the sticks. Although from whats been said burnley is sort of out in the sticks itself. lozells in birmingham is really bad, and brum town centre I've seen doormen carrying machettes.
Depends what time of the day and which day each incident happened Burnley police only have so many officers, and if it's busy, which by the sound of the first incident with the riot van, they wasn't busy, then it will take longer to respond.

You can tell how busy the Police are when you make a call to them. Ask for the reference number for your call which for Burnley and Pendle ends in PQ and then the date. The number before the PQ is the number of incidents they have dealt with that day.

So, if the reference they give you is 192PQ-20/07/2006 that means they have had 192 incidents or calls.

The Police in Burnley are generally always busy. When we call them to my place of work it can sometimes take a while for them to arrive, but we understand they are busy. Especially at night.
