Talking Things that people say locally

Funny thing, s people say here! do you know any?--- I was in the butchers and heard the butcher say when a customer asked for meat on the bone!
" Meat without a bone
is like a cherry without a stone" it made me laugh and wondering if anyone else had heard this or something similar?

Talking

My dad used to get us in at night by threatening to give us a hooker,a slap round the ear,and when we got the hooker we were told to get up the dancers, the stairs.Oh for the good old days

Awww, sorry to hear that Poppy. The fact that he lived that long meant he was very well looked after, so he must have had a very happy life. Our 12 year old had her check up yesterday. Fit as a fiddle and still jumping 6 foot walls.

My first dog was 17 when she died, and my last dog was 12 when she died a few months ago. I still miss them both..
