Need to Vent

I'm so fed up with where i live .....

Story is this ....

My lad Daniel is 12 years old hes not a Angel but he knows right from wrong ..... About 8 months ago he had a fall out with a friend the friends older brother got my lad beat up just for falling out well i did report it Calico but told them not to act on it has i know what this family is like ....

So anyway my lad and this friend made friends and have been playing ...

But yesterday Daniel got hit with a stone so he tossed a stone back at this friend and this lad goes running home and then the next min hes older brother is in my sons face saying hes gona have him beat up again this lad is 20 years old and gets kids of 15 to do hes dirty work ...

But im upset cus i feel so dam trapped cus if i report it to the police my windows will be put though and ill be living in fear for my younger kids whos 3 and 4

And if i dont report it then ill still live in fear of my son being beat up again ....

I really dont no what the hell to do guys i live on the Griffin and i hate it here ....

What about the lad's parents, can't you have a reasonable discussion with them about the situation? It doesn't have to end up in a slagging match, although I know that some parents think the sun shines out of their kid's backsides and that they can do no wrong.

Tell your Daniel to stay away from this lad until he can grow up enough to not go running to his older brother everytime they have a falling out do.

I feel for you. Being trapped is the worst possibly feeling. Living with those threats also must be soul destroying. Are you in a council house? If so, could you take this to them and ask to be moved?

Ive tryed before talking to the mother but got the door slamed in my face and told to F off ......

Ive told Daniel to stay out hes way but Daniel my own son has tryed to kill himself before now cus of being bullied and he is now getting help from the hospitle for this ....

Last time when he was beat up he only went to the shop for some sugar and 12 lads jumped him he was only 11 at this time .... He does stay out of this guys way but they all live on Griffin too so its really hard and i know if i report on them ( grass on them has they say ) i know what will happen ....

Its so unfaire cus i do like my house and garden and i dont see why i should move just cus of these kids being bad ... But on the other hand i dont want to live in fear at the same time ....

What upsets me about the lads mother is she put her son in care when he was 13 cus he was always in trouble so its not like she dont no her own son is doing this but i also know her son has hit her afew times so in her eyes i can understand has she might be in fear too ~sighe~ but if the parents dont care what the kids are doing then no wounder the kids round here get away with it .......

I don't think you have a choice, you have to get out of there. The hospital can help.

We are waiting for calico housing to get us moved but they say they dont have the free houses yet ..... The hospitle did a long letter to them and the police helped abit too ....

its now just playing the waiting game ...

o0o we did ask for a camra to be put in has Calico can do that when we called them and a police man came out to see us about this on Griffin they told us this ....

They do have camras but they dont work due to funding lol what a joke !!!

The council can put cameras up. I had one from the asbo section in London. Some nutter kept smashing bottles against my front door.

Come to that, you can buy them pretty cheaply now. Try eBay!

Yeah we are buying one from Argos .... there not alot to buy .

But i just think its so wrong that people have to live in fear of kids today ...

Yes! agree with you i am also probably going to get a camera fitted on our backstreet as children are just left to their own devices and dont give a damn. Having an old deaf cat is difficult to protect! let alone your children! So i really am sympathetic with you on this as i have also had similar when my kids were younger.Hope the camera is ok!

The East End of London is rough, but, luckily, I had no such problems. I also kept two German Shepherds. Whether that had anything to do with it or not, I don't know!!

Sorry to hear about all this trouble Joanne!:( I hope the camera works! I work with elderly people, and a shelterd housing complex I visit used to have trouble with gangs of kids scaring the residents when the warden had gone, simply because they got told to play some place else! I know it's very hard as with these kids, they are in large packs and it's frightening! I think it's a shame to have to move from your home you love because of this! lets hope it's just a phase and your son gets some new mates!

thats the thing Wayne there not in 1 or 2s there in gangs upto 12 to 20 round here ....

And Daniel isnt a fighter he dont like fighting at all ..... Hes a tall lad hes only 12 and 5ft8 with size 11 shoes hes not like a 12 year old and they pick up on this but in hes mind hes 12 ....

So many nights now ive gone to bed crying cus of one thing or another on here yet i dont want to move ive got a nice 4 bed roomed house with a nice garden .....

Im getting the Camra tomorrow but is it enough to protect my kids ....

When i talked to Calico today they told me there aware of this family yet why are they not moving on it !!! or are they gona wait till some child is really hurt badly then work on it ....

I somtimes think even the police are scared of the griffin too .....
