| Well we now have no wheelie bin as someone has obviously took a liking to it. So we rang Burnley Boroush Council to see about getting another one and we were told we had to pay £20 to get a new one. It used to be free. I pay my council tax, this is paying for this. So does that mean I can put my rubbish on the street as they haven't given me a bin? Does this mean that I can leave my new wheelie bin in my yard for them to come in and collect to limit the possibility of being stolen again? Should I call the Police and report it as stolen? If they want me to put rubbish in a bin, shouldn't they provide it? There must be something in the law somewhere where I can get a new bin for free. After all, they have the Burnley BC logo on it so should I charge THEM to advertise on my bin or is it their bin to replace then? I'm just sick of things being changed without being told and having to pay more for everything!

| First time we have requested a bin at the new address. Can't see why I should have to pay for it, it's a public service isn't it?

| Silly question, but did you have your house number on it?

| Have one of ours, we've got two. Personally I think you should refuse and should bag it up and put it on the pavement. It's not your property, it's theirs, they ask you to put it out on the public road, therefore they are responsible. If it is yours, buy two, and send one down here, with two bins spare, i can start wheelie bin racing. I've got a black one, I want a purple liverpool one, a brown one, a blue one, I want a green one from down here then I'm all set. |
