Rats

Behind my house the old Imperial mill is being demolished,no problem but in my celler i do my ironing its carpeted and basically another room,well last week i went to check the iron was off,and there was a rat.I rang enviro heatlh they said they would"try' and get to me that day.I rang again crying so they came.Apparently Burnley has a rat problem,well mines gone,where it entered bricked up,but how many people would expect to find a rat in there house.

i had one in my house years ago and got a man round who put a ferret under my floorboards never saw either rat or ferret again....... Anyway i run cafe at moment so have a firm who come out every 3 months or so and check everything out he says burnley is overrun with them:(

There is a saying that you are never more than 6 feet away from a rat! Not a very nice thought but having one in the house must be very upsetting, glad you got it sorted.

A friend of mine had rats in his house and contacted his local BNP councillor who sorted it all out for him.

Had mice before but not rats when i lived in padiham,but we did live in front of a big field,and they were field mice,had the council out but it still makes you feel dirty.
You just have to make sure you dispose of waste correctly and hoover any crumbs etc.
Just watch it when you are leaving your doors open in the summer!!

We had a rat in the house years ago when we lived in Burnley,we got a cat soon after!! a good mouser will do the trick Gillian!!:thumbsup:
