recently where i live we have found syringes with needles in, stuff inside and blood. when we phoned the police they have said there is nothing they can do about and the council have said that all they can do is send someone round once in a while to have a look and if we see any in the mean time to give them a ring. there as already been a 3 year old pick one up from out of the grass and down the road one girl let her toddler into the back yard and she picked one up and put it in her mouth had to have blood test and everything. i'm moving now refuse to live in a place like this. and the best bit about all this is we have to pay band A housing

Sadly Tizza, it doesnt matter where you move to nowadays. There is always gonna be some junkies moved to your area. Its what the government do to try and rehabilitate them. I cant believe your local councillor doesnt do anything about it though. Do you not have community wardens? Even if they were just present, it would make the junkies uneasy. You must live in a real posh area, where they dont have rented accomodation. At least in the poorer areas there are never any needles anywhere, as all the junkies go to a house. Where are you thinking of moving to? be careful, do your homework first...

it's the waterside area of colne moved here three years ago when they had just cleaned it up and it were really nice, they have recently built some new houses that are all private just up from me but there now moving all the rubish where i am cos most of them are rented. moving over to crashawbooth or that area been on the cards for a while but wanted to buy next time i move; now i'm not bothered just want my kids to be safe; i can't even let m 5 year old play out on the grass in front of my house cos thats where they are so have to risk him being on the street while cars are about can't keep him locked up because of it although i have sat him down and had a serious chat about what they are.

it's disgusting should give all filthy-druggies a free needle with a free air-bubble inside!!!!! your problem is, and yes i know this is a very sweeping statement, but the council don't really have estates now. They buy nice houses here there and everywhere, dotted about, and plonk there druggie, doley pondlife in them, so you really have no idea who is living near you nowadays. (and yes i know there are people in council houses and on the dole who are very nice people - I don't mean them) Stop these bleedin hearts telling us how hard done by druggies are; i don't want to understand their problems- sorry, they tend to be a bunch of filthy, robbing, burgling snots in my opinion!!!!!

exactly i am from burnley which is supposed to be a poor run-down mill town we were never rich my mum and dad worked every hour god sent surely, stat-wise i must be a prime candidate to be a druggy doley hmmmmmmmmmmm, NO Have worked since i left school (2 weeks on the rock and roll i think) and don't have the slightest intention of pushing heroin into my veins Sorry to rant, but too many people now-a-days seem to think we owe them a living. I was brought up to earn my own way in life if at all possible, and not to be a snotty, druggy, drain on society UP 'EM I SAY!!!!!!!

Hate the fact that this seems to be the norm these days, I know drugs have always been around but it wasnt like this when I was growing up (sounding old now). It was in the telegraph last night about a 10 year old being sold drugs, I wouldnt be responsible for my actions if someone tried selling my son drugs. Worries me what it will be like in years to come.
