Talking MUDD CLUB - Back from the dead?

I heard that the Falcon was re-opening and they were going to ressurrect the old Mudd Club:) I always moaned about it being a bit rubbish at the time, but I do miss it:whack: . Wonder if they will play 'Cannonball' every week like the old days?

Mudd club was in the Kestrel suite yes, I don't remember them playing much 70's glam, but they might have if asked. They played rock/alternative - you know Jaseyboy music.:) I saw some good bands at the Kestrel suite as well, I'll have to dig out the photos sometime, but my scanner won't work with windows XP:(

Resurrecting this thread from the dead :p ....I see it's been a good few years since it was mentioned and i'm sure the Lancashire Online database as swelled considerably since then, anyone have any opinions regarding the MUDD CLUB's ressurrection if it was to happen or as everyone moved on and left there wild/idiotic (lol) sides long behind since then or would you be interested to see it return...I'm interested for one to know!!!!!! ;)

Did you have something to do with the old mud club then FranG? I used to like going from time to time, I preferred to see live bands, but mud club was good if there was nobody playing. I'd like to go somewhere that played proper indie music from back in the day.

Hey, no I was nothing to do with the MC, but I was speaking with one of the guys recently who was originally responsible for it, and he seemed pretty keen about blowing away the cobwebs and putting a new polish on the MUDD CLUB, possibly at a new venue not a million miles away from the Kestrel Suite to which i'm very keen to be involved, if it happens and it goes well it may become a regular thing...who knows! :)
