Col.Kurtz will become famous soon enough
Lightbulb Films and TV programmes made in the area

I heard they have been filming some historical drama down at Townley hall, anyone know of other film and tv shot in the area? Everybody knows of 'Whistle down the wind' - "it's not jesus, it's just a fella" :) and 'Juliet Bravo', anyone know of others? Was 'The man in the white suit' shot anywhere near Burnley?

G.C liked to watch Hetty Wainthrop. It had a lot of places round Burnley,Accy,Preston in it.
I think All quite on the Preston front had a bloke in it that always had a Burnley shirt on ,and they filmed all over the northwest as well.
Round here we had Blackpool thats being shown and by all accounts is tripe.

Hetty Wainthrop was filmed on Oxford Rd Burnley in what was Steve Lairds. village barber,s and outside there. Then in a house in Burnley Wood ?and then on Woodgrove Rd, in a house ,next door to where i used to live years before. I was outside watching the filming inside, with my son and Patricia Rutledge looked through the window and waived at the two of us! I thought that it was nice of her to take the time to do that! Man in the white suit i think was filmed in Healey Wood. Queen St mill recently featured in the Bill Oddie family history, my son helped clear the mill prior to filming.I watched North and South and wondered which mill was used? Towneley has been used before for The Tennant of Wildfell Hall, heard they were doing that again, not sure!
