Yes it was! it was hard work as i was only nineteen at the time and had my own shop, but great as everyone was quite friendly then. People used to tell me allsorts and when i got married four years later i had loads of presents from half of Burnley wood. Then i sold it to two sisters!

Things puzzle me. Kiki if you was a hairdresser who did your hair? I have quite a lot of questions such as. If a doctor is unwell can he give himself a sick note? Why do they call a grapefruit a grapefruit? I could go on. :)

Lets go back to the filming talk then! : :p : I once saw a van on T owneley Holmes it was full oF different breeds of dogs . The cameraman fimed them as they ran! right up the length of the homes. That was sometime in the sixties! can,t remember the film title? will ask my sister tomorrow and get back to you!

There was a programme a few years ago called The Riffraff element which was filmed around the Waddington and Clitheroe area.The cast stayed at the Dunkenhalgh hotel where my wife worked at the time.I think they only did two series of it.

the riff raff element was brilliant!! It was about a wealthy family who were down on their luck and rented part of their home out to "riff raff"....Jayne Ashbourne was in it...Ronald Pickup (i think) and Celia Imrie was great in it!! I was very sad when it was cancelled.
