Burnley's punks

Also showing at the Mid Pennine Gallery at the moment is a small exhibition which shows the punk movement in Burnley in the late 70s. Quite interesting if you were on the scene at the time. It's open Mon - Sat 10am - 5pm.

Our record player broke down and so my older brother used to go to Gran's to play his punk records at full blast! ,Gran used to sing along to stuff by the Stranglers such as "walking on the beach's"!!! and other such stuff!!!!!

BTW, never heard this mentioned in the email news letter they send out. Just banging on about the panopticons and other boring stuff!

Me and my older brother used to play pool in wonderland!!! and walk home up Manchester road with a huge bag of chips from the Acropolis chippy!!!! Happydays!!!!
