I work with the elderly and disabled and I visit people in their own home, the problem is that you get bogus callers who pray on them, but if someone is housebound they may want whats being 0fferd to save them going out! the idea of making an appointment is a good one! We get loads of door-to-door round here, I just say no thanks very firmly!!!!!

I will not buy anything from people who come a knocking on my door.I used to be polite and let them waffle on, then say no. Now i say no thank you as soon as they open there mouth, then shut the door in there face.Being polite gets you nowhere with these people.

Ou...those bums...talk about apain in the backside, at my shop I have a large sign in the window...telling them not to enter but guess what, they come in anyway. So I'm thinking the pencil option is a fairly sound one and I might just have a bash at it. ;)
