Default Stonleyholme's bins

:censored: We've all read the crap about Burnley council and the bin dispute, refuse collectors leaving full bin bags because they will not fit in your full bins.Well what about this one.
Apparently in the Stonlyholme and other "ETHNIC",area's Burnley council has placed those big bins like the ones shops use,at the end of most streets.WHY,do you ask, well Some Ethnic majority communities are saying that the "female" cannot go out and empty there rubbish. Its in the so called "religion".The mustn't be seen.Well bull muck i say.
Has anybody else heard this?.

Me neither, but I can well believe it was used as some lame excuse.

Have your tried ringing up BC & asking for one to be put near you for use by your street?

I don't see how putting a big bin at the end of the street helps women not to be seen !?!?!? Do they get in it or what???

This could roll on to be yet another contentious thread having a bash at our so called coloured friends.

Perhaps someone ought to find out the facts first, like I did for the prayer room one.

Excuse me,im not having ago at any ethnic, not coloured(which incidently is classed as a racist remark)community at all.I have no trouble with my refuse collection, nor the recycling collection. And for the record.I have no dislike to any ethnic group, religion ect.My point is.Many area's within the town are having refuse problems, refuse left on the back streets. It would have been better to use these bigger multi bins in other parts of the town.Have a trial period. If it is true then its the council's fault certain peoplecause a backlash.Certainly not mine.
Next time read the facts, not what you want to believe.

Oh come off it.

YOUR total post implies that your are unhappy with the rumour of bins being placed in ethnic areas.

No facts, just "apparently".

I'm merely suggesting that coming out with something like your first post could turn this thread into something like the prayer room one. (who started that one??) and that someone should find out exactly why those bins are there and what the criteria are for others to get them.

If your unhappy with that bin situation, then ring the local council up & ask them.

So you get your facts.

You might see some bins there.

But then they may have been specifically requested by the whole row of houses to use because they have problems with wheelie biins at hte back, because the bin men may refuse to go down the back or something... etc, etc..

The only way to find out the facts would be to contact the council.

Mattylad is right, the way to go forward on this is to direct you questions and comments to the Portfolio holder for the Environment, Councillor Dennis Otter

All councillors have an email address ,Dennis's address is

WTF?

that cant be true sounds like a stupid rumour i know many a asian woman go out of her house and put rubbish out go shops hang washing out etc etc just like anyone else.the only thing i know is that they do have something in their religion about men looking at them but i couldnt honestly say exactly what it is but as for putting rubbish out well that sounds like its a false story im afraid.
i grew up with a lot of asians and i never saw anything like that or heard it.they used to sit on front streets and chat with their neighbours and frieds like we used to.

also if this turns into a slanging match or arguement il close the thread so please keep on topic and dont argue please.
