Default arrested

Two weeks ago,my son was arrested at school,i was telephone to go to the police station. He was accused of theft.I knew he hadn't done it,HE'S A LOT OF THINGS BUT THEIF NO.His school asked me to see them last Monday, short of saying he was guilty they said that they would take this all the way.He hasn't done it,so he must be part of it school said. The guilty person,to whome is known to the police was still being educated,Mock G.C.S.E's last week, not my son.Home bored and innocent.Anyway cut it short,he has been found innocent by the police, guilty party arrests to follow. My absolute annoyence is,why did the school jump to conclusions, they never excluded my son, just said he wasn't allowed on site?.Does anybody on this site know, who i can contact for advise?.The school were prepared to take my son to court or as they put it,all the way.Well its me who's taking it all the way.

school's and police don't go together, my lad was grabbed by the throat by a teacher in front of the whole class, we got the police to come round and she said the marks left on his neck after two days was disgusting and the teacher should'nt be allowed to get away with it, two days later police said they did'nt want to get involved and we would have to sort it out with the school, needless to say nothing happened some times you have to grin and bear it :scowling:

my point is if the school thinks you've done something wrong then you have that simple, but if you accuse them you will get no where

Basic law says that if you lose something due to wrongfull arrest then compensation is in order, your son lost his education for a short while, which shouldn't be taken lightly.

Also, If the school have accused your son in front of witnesses, isn't that slander?

Then there's the mental anguish (unfortunate legal term, it basically means extreme worry caused by the accusation)

Put it this way, if it happened to someone in a high powered office somewhere, there would be a substancial sum of money paid out.

The school board of goveners should also be contacted.
Which school was this?

It's attrocious behaviour of the school, as it is he has missed his mock exams, so are they arranging for him to now take these mock exams, they are part of tha national curriculum & not taking them is failing your son.

You could always try contacting the press, and totally name and shame the school and teacher who accused him.

local school authority that deals with the schools in/around your home town can help on this matter.also you would like a written apology for the accusation made or you will be seeking legal advice reguarding the matter.when you recieve the letter you can then take it to your solicitor as the matter caused stress ect in the family.......but do-not warn the parties of what you intend to do.

Default ARREST UPDATE

Yahooooooooooooooooo, call it victamisation or what. The real culprit was eventualy arrested.BUT a certain senior staff member, still refused to believe my son innocent.Any way eventualy,in the staff room at ST Theodors.Mr Mekinan(judge and jury),had to admit to the other staff that my son had absolutly nothing to do with it.
Aplology to me?.STILL AWAITING.
