Murder Inquiry: Sister's appeal

THE heartbroken sister of murdered Brunshaw man Patrick Healey has made a tearful appeal for his friends to come forward and help police.

Mr Healey (33), of Wycoller Avenue, died from serious head injuries which he suffered at a party in Sandpiper Square on Monday night.

Speaking to the Burnley Express this morning, Mrs Lorretta Grant urged any of her brother's drinking friends to help officers make sense of her brother's death.

She said: "If they were his drinking friends then I would hope that they help the police as much as they can."

Yesterday a murder investigation was launched by police leading to the arrest of eight people, seven of whom were later released without charge. A 28-year-old Burnley man is still being quizzed by detectives.

I'll looked at this article and saw a few others about Burnley relating to murder. What is the World coming to?

It's not just Burnley Neal. The whole country seems to be the same. Very harsh cruel and sad times we live in.

13 yr old boy charged with murder on Merseyside this morning for robbery and throwing a man on a bonfire. What sort of child is capable of that ?

The Country's gone made, but the problem is there is no deterrent. No matter what any one says hanging while never be brought back, but when any one is convicted of first degree murder life should mean life, not out on the streets after 10 years. The problem is that we are still using laws that were, in many cases, meant for 18th century, its time they burnt the law books in Parliament Square and start again with laws for the 21st century

some, of the kids that kicked poor Sophie to death for being goth were aged around 13 or14, as were the kids who have just been convicted for stoning a guy to death while he was playing cricket. Kids just are just out of control

My girlfriend works for a Burnley high school, they just tell the teachers all day to f-off all day, they have freedom of speech now so they use it, teachers arnt allowed to tell them off because its harrasment infront of there fellow students/mates....... so they just laugh at them..........

They need to sort out the youth/education system before anything else will work....... its 90% mob rule in schools now......... before long no kids will go, as they will have the right not to.........
