As I wrote in my last blog the funeral has been and gone. There were a lot of people there which in itself makes me feel proud of the obvious love and respect people felt for Ian. My grand-daughter did a reading, she is only twelve and we were unsure if she would be able to cope but cope she did admirably. Next was Vicky (Ian's sons partener) reading "IF" one of Ian's favourite poems. Last but not least came Richard (Ian's brother) reading some thoughts that his sister had sent by e-mail...

Had a phone call from Debs yesterday....they are having a lovely time on the Isle of Wight....and despite it being very cold they have had blue skies and sunshine.
Not all is rosy though.......some of the guests have gone down with the Norovirus.....and have had to be confined to their rooms. And some guests have had their holiday shortened by a day because the hotel is closing down on Saturday so that a complete disinfection program can be undertaken.

Ma is off sunning her bum on the Isle of Wight.....yes it is sunny down there, but cold too....so I am pretty sure that her BTM didn't get much exposure.
Debs and Ma seem to be having a very enjoyable time.......and I have to admit to being just a tad envious.

Please bear with me if I start rambling, it is all I ssem to do these days. I will be in the middle of a sentence and forget completely what I am talking about. Maybe it is age or maybe it is all the things buzzing around in my head. Either way it can be pretty annoying. I haven't posted for a few days, just can't seem to motivate myself but today just want to get my thoughts out.

The other day I was looking through my pictures.
I was trying to choose four pictures that would fit into a competition......the picture had to be one that uplifted me....something that dried out dampened spirits......you know the kind of thing......It's Monday morning......the wind is blowing and the rain is battering the window pane(and we have had a few of those recently)...the sky is the colour of lead.
You want to see something that will make you feel that although it is raining...
