The other day I was looking through my pictures.
I was trying to choose four pictures that would fit into a competition......the picture had to be one that uplifted me....something that dried out dampened spirits......you know the kind of thing......It's Monday morning......the wind is blowing and the rain is battering the window pane(and we have had a few of those recently)...the sky is the colour of lead.
You want to see something that will make you feel that although it is raining...

It is tiddlers birthday on Wednesday, and as part of his treats, I decided he might like to go to the Pantomime.
Whilst he has been going to pre-school they have been taking him to Story time at the library, and he has been very good for that.....I just wasn't sure if he would sit still for a 2 and a half hour session.
Anyway, thought I would risk it. I got tickets for his Ma and me as well.
He has been counting down since I got the tickets, so he had built up a fair level of excitement....

I know it is winter, and that we should be prepared to have some bad weather, but this dark grim stuff is doing my head in.......There has been no misers light for the last few days.......the house has looked like a cave...even with the lights on.
I went out the other day and I had to go to do the banking for Ma.......why is it that it was only me that looked like the wreck of the Hesperus.......glasses all steamed up and hair all stuck up like sore fingers.

It has been a very busy week, and I am really tired.On Monday evening we got a call from Norman.....he wanted us to go over to see him. He has had male plumbing problems for some time now and the Doctor went to see him with a view to inserting a catheter into his bladder - unfortunately the doctor could not do this procedure and had referred him to hospital......and he phoned tha old fella at 6pm to say that an Ambulance was booked to take him to the RBH to have this done.........but this meant...

Yesterday I could not write......I was made numb by the sad news of Ian's death.
The sadness kept touching me and making me wonder how I would cope if I lost my soulmate.....and I kept on thinking of you Bernie, and hoping that someone was taking care of you....enveloping you with warmth and kindness......taking the burden of doing things from you.....making decisions.
I so wanted Ian to be one of the survivors.
To have a happy ending.....but life isn't like that.
