It was still a beautiful afternoon and there was ages yet before I needed to shower and change for dinner......I told Ma that I was off to the shops.
I wanted to look for a pair of winter boots and a winter handbag. Later when I mentioned my quest to John at the dinner table, he asked what was the difference between a winter handbag and a summer one......Men, I told him a winter one had to be a dark colour, have a little pocket for my phone....enough space for an umbrella(a small one), preferably...

I took Ma back to the newsagents to get her scratchie checked....and she was right....she HAD won a tenner.
The guy in the shop asked me how I was going to eat my gusset...well done? medium rare? I told him I was going to have it soaked in best brandy, set alight and the ashes put into a glass of brandy and coke and I would then glug it down. I bet you are asking yourself if I actually did it.....well, ye....er No of course I didn't, but if I had been held to my bet that is how i would have...

Tuesday morning dawned bright and clear with the red ball of the sun appearing out of the sea....a spectacular view.

We went down to breakfast and the Freda and John were already there.....Audrey and Maud followed us into the dining room.
I went and got some juice for Ma, and a fresh hot croissant with raspberry jam.
We all exchanged pleasantries over the breakfast table.....'how did you sleep?' that kind of thing......and I have to say that Freda and John did seem to be...

Sunday night I showered and washed my hair......got the packing done.
I went to bed around about 11ish...but could not get to sleep.
I knew that I had to be up and at'em by half past five, the longer I stayed awake the more worried I was that I would oversleep.
I watched the clock until after 1am and then I must have fallen asleep.
I woke just before 5 am and decided that the best plan would be to get up.
It was far too early for breakfast so I made the butties and...

It was a relaxed holiday, but one that was active too. That may not make sense but that is how it was...let me explain a little.
Breakfast each day was 8am for our group.
On the days we were going out we left the hotel at a very civilized time 9.30 for one trip and 10am for the full day trip.
This was because the places we visited were quite close...half an hour drive.
I will tell you more a bit later.
I haven't done the washing...the day looked a bit 'iffy' and hubby...
