I like my daily newspaper, I have to have it in front of me when I am eating my toast and having my cup of strong tea...but some days the headlines infuriate me.
Like today. The headline on one of the popular papers states that Breast Fed babies are brainier.

As mothers, we all like to feel that we are doing our very best for our children...giving them the best start in life........and while I agree that breast feeding is the 'gold standard' I have to accept that for some mothers...

Over the last four days I have sat here and listened to the whizzes, whooshes and thunderous bangs of the fireworks.
I was just wondering just how much money has been spent on these short lived pyrotechnics.
I think it must run into the hundreds of thousands of pounds.....these things aren't cheap.
I have also listened to the sound of the 'nee-naws'....which I take to be fire engines, or maybe ambulances......and got to wondering how much extra work we place on the shoulders of...

Well, it sounds like a war zone out there just now. I hate fireworks...and I hate the way that bonfire night seems to be a moveable feast. It seems to extend over something like a week now.
It makes it difficult if you have animals....they are scared out of their wits on consecutive nights.
I have a housecat and a visiting stray(he has been a visiting stray for almost 18 months - but I am still not allowed to call him mine...but I reckon he is)...thankfully they are both indoors.

Well, I have no idea where the time has gone today. I seem to have very little to show for being on the move for most of the day.

My daughter has not been very well this week,and the tiddler has had a bad chest again. Whatever is going round at school he is sure to get and it goes straight to his chest....and his Ma has picked it up too.
So he has not been sleeping very well, and she hasn't because she has had to get up to minister to him....in fact she has given Uni the flick...
