Bonfire NightSSSSSSS!

Well, it sounds like a war zone out there just now. I hate fireworks...and I hate the way that bonfire night seems to be a moveable feast. It seems to extend over something like a week now.
It makes it difficult if you have animals....they are scared out of their wits on consecutive nights.
I have a housecat and a visiting stray(he has been a visiting stray for almost 18 months - but I am still not allowed to call him mine...but I reckon he is)...thankfully they are both indoors.

1. 	There are quite a few going off round here, they don't really bother me that much but I have no animals to consider.

2. 	My cat hates fireworks! one of the animal rescue programmes advise playing tapes to them with soft fireworks to start with then turning it up ! desensitizing?Seems a mad thing to do !
