Daily doings.

Ma is off sunning her bum on the Isle of Wight.....yes it is sunny down there, but cold too....so I am pretty sure that her BTM didn't get much exposure.
Debs and Ma seem to be having a very enjoyable time.......and I have to admit to being just a tad envious.
They had a trip around the island yesterday....the botanical gardens at Ventnor was on their itinerary.....they didn't go to the Sun Inn for lunch......it was booked out with Christmas dinners....they went to Godshill, and the sun shone and the sky was incredibly blue for a winter day......I could picture it in my minds eye.
Today they had a free day so Debs was planning on taking Ma, in the wheelchair to the centre of Shanklin and they were going to look around the shops....then Debs said she would push Ma into the Old Village. I just hope that she had had a very substantial breakfast because it is quite a hike up the main street in Shanklin.......the good news is that she would be able to ride down the hill on the other side and coast into the Old Village(ready with the brakes).
Debs had also booked herself a facial and eyebrow shaping in the beauty salon at the hotel.....a pre-christmas treat to herself.
If that were me I wouldn't waste me money....i would go and spend time in the pool, jacuzzi and steam room.......I can't be doing with being 'messed' with....and in any case, I'm always disappointed with the results - but then Ma always says you can't polish a T8rd.....cruel or what?

I have missed Ma this week....and it is only Wednesday. They aren't back until Saturday.

I have my list of things that she wants from the shops.......I will get them and deliver them up to her house so that she will have fresh bread, milk and something good for her tea on Saturday.

Today was a bit sad. I went to the funeral service for Ian. The church was packed out to the doors........that must have been some kind of lift for Bernie. That so many people loved her man. The service was beautiful......poignant, personal and uplifting.
Three family members spoke of their memories of Ian......their love shone like a beacon, and I'm sure if he was looking down he would have been proud of them.
I don't like funerals, but this one was special.

It has been the Tiddlers 4th birthday today.......we took some goodies, including a birthday cake to his pre-school.....he was a really good boy today. I expected him to want his presents as soon as he got home from pre-school, but no....he was quite happy to wait until his Daddy came home and they had had their tea.
He has been going mad for a silver Nintendo DS.....so we bought him one....his Mum and dad bought him a couple of games and so did we.....his face lit up when he saw the Nintendo......and the case to match .......and he is mad keen on Dinosaurs, so I bought him a game that is all about finding and rebuilding dinosaurs.....he couldn't wait to get that into the machine.
He had about 20 minutes and then it was put away to rest and he went up for his bath.
Before he went upstairs he came and said to me 'Margaret, that is my bestest birthday present ever....thankyou'....aaaaah!
