Default digital art in progress

I thought i better get the thread started after suggesting it, I'm not working any sketches or paintings at the minute, but i am trying to get this done, i keep swapping bit around and changing it. It is for another website I am helping with. I should like to replace one of the lenses in the glasses with a starry sky that would twinkle or a single sparkle in one eye ( again that would sparkle) but my brain has switched off.
I may need software I don't have. any ideas as to how?

Wow, trippy! Is it Hunter S. Thompson? Do you mean like an animated sparkle?

I used to have a program that you could create simple animations on, can't remember what it was called, and if I've still got it!!?!?! I'll have a look...

I've heard of "granny takes a trip", wasn't it a clothes shop? Did you study art in London?

I have animation shop, but it is inserting it into the eye and saving it so it still all works. I may have to go take a class somewhere instead of just fiddling about myself

wow now I do feel old. I have to admit I loved the 60s and 70s I was 16 in 1960 the new freedoms of expression, art and music were so exciting for me straight out of convent school,( supposed to stay on but life was too exiting) Found the Kings Road and Kensington, High Street and went wild. Sorry I had never been north then (though northern born have no memory of it) so don't know what the scene was like in Burnley or Manchester, though Liverpool was revered, and many faked scouse accents.
I should love to see the work they are doing, helps to keep up with the youngsters otherwise your art stagnates, but as you see I do get very retro.

Well you are in the right place to talk to folk here as musically lots of things started near her "The Beatles" mainly! i wish i had seen them live as my brother did ,but my parents were quite strict. I even had a beatles haircut when quite young and a girl!
I used to go to Manchester to help choose mini dresses with a friend, her mother had a shop in Burnley and sold them.Later modelling mini skirts and dresses for another shop in Burnley "Sheldons Seperates" i used to go in there with my Mum who made me fantastic clothes. We would buy a jumper and she would look for material on the market and make a skirt , she could remember what colour the jumper was without taking it with her. Her colour sense was amazing she didnt have art training or anything, but was a trained machinist and could sew anything!I have done art training but not to teaching level but am very interested in it,read alot about it and love painting!

do you remember mini kilts I had two and white tights, I spent a fortune at Mary Quant's shop it, was over her fellas restaurant a coffee there would break the bank, I could never afford her couture stuff, but if I saved I could manage her off the peg ginger group. We all envied you your Beatles but the stones and the kinks played our locals, so we got by. But we all wanted to come North and visit the cavern. Now I could it is only a sort of replica

I certainly do. I used to spend hours tacking the pleats together then pressing hard with a wet tea towel. Nobody had pleats like me, or as short, because I'd take 'em up too. White boots complete the outfit.

Yes i had a mini kilt or maybe two, we had short dresses with matching knickers, yes white tights ,white lips too! I went to the church jumble sale and came back with a pair of white thick stockings! My Mum went mad and said " You cant wear those they are laying out socks" I still wore them and wore new long victorian style nighties, long half wig ,two pairs of false eyelashes. And did i think i was somebody!

I loved my sort of crochet cream tights, I lived in them. I also used to make most of my mini skirts and trousers as Mum could not afford to buy them. We used to get remnants and I always had the widest bell bottoms. I used to tweak the pattern.

My freind and I used to have lots of black and white stuff. We both had these trousers that were black at the back and white at the front. They were great.
