If he was in Burma in the war he may find this brings back a few memoris.
I used to go to a very nice bloke called Bill he was in Burma,he sadly passed away a few years ago, he told me it pussed it down for months on end,he got naffed off with flies,mango's and bananas,the gurkas(I hope I've spelt it right)told them how to live of the jungle,could put the ships up the Japs,and was glad they was fighting for us,he also hated the film Merrils Maruders and said it was a travesty. Thats why I'd rather get told about the war from the lads that know and not get the American hollywood version. |
