Default Football at the Art Gallery

Clarets fans will be able to view a special selection of photographs of Burnley Football Club in January, with the 'More Than 90 Minutes' exhibition at the Mid Pennine Gallery from Saturday, 7th January 2006 to Saturday, 11th February 2006.A collection of photos taken by local photographer Andy Ford, including some new, unseen shots form the exhibition that give a fantastic insight into life at Turf Moor will be on show at the gallery and is a must for all Burnley FC fans.Ford, a renowned international photographer, hails from Burnley, and has exhibited at the Mid Pennine Gallery previously. He has taken exclusive behind the scenes shots at Turf Moor over the last year and a half. He has been given access to all areas to take the photos including observing the players relaxing after training, receiving treatment and on those all important match days. The photographs form a book 'More Than 90 Minutes' which is now on sale at the Clarets Superstore and is proving to be a popular choice for Burnley fans. Now, many of those photos can be seen in the exhibition. In conjunction with this exhibition there will be a series of workshops for young people on Saturday mornings focusing on how to make a perfect photograph. Workshops cost £2 per child and children under 7 years must be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are subject to change - contact Claire Joyce for details or see the Mid Pennine Arts website – www.midpenninearts.org.uk – for details.MID PENNINE GALLERYOPENING HOURSWEDNESDAY - SATURDAY10AM - 4PMDisabled access
