I used to be a G7 class B ham, back in the days when I had space for a radio etc.
I'm hoping that when I finally get my loft all sortedf I'll have somewhere for my SW radio & other gear to redo it.
It's all changed now though, I understand that you'll get access to the HF bands etc..
Good for you, go for it.
However I found that the level of conversation was a tad boring becuse of the restrictions on what your allowed to do.
Packet radio was what prompted me to come on the internet, using the packet BBS's etc.
