Re: The Battle of Britain - Brunanburgh was it local? good stuff this, its a bit off topic, but as Kiki has mentioned Roundheads, I used to work at the Hare and Hounds up Harle Syke (well Haggate) there was a massive stone slab down the cellar and I was told it was to lay out the bodies of the Roundheads and Cavaliers who were killed in a big battle there, is it true or were they just trying to frighten me when I had to go down the cellar for the veg?:QuestionM
