I wouldn't care where it was held if I thought we could afford it, but I don't think that is the case. We keep getting told we are one of the biggest economies in the world, yet we can't afford to look after our elderly who fought to keep us a 'free' country only to be ruled from Europe anyway (it will happen if we let it).
We are a country living on credit, where the government want us to work and pay into the pension system until we drop dead - where is the incentive in this?
Everyone seem to worship at the alter of money - look what Christmas has turned into, a shopathon where parents have lost the ability to say no to every whim of their kids - whast does this teach them? Not how to control money for a start.
But I digress, I think I should start a new thread for that one...
I think it should stay in Greece, at least then they would have a use for all the new stadia and facilities built for the last games. |
